Gail Peterson, LCPC, RPT
Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, Registered Play Therapist
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Registered Play Therapist, with experience working with individuals, couples, families, children, and teens that experience symptoms of low self-esteem, depression, bipolar, anxiety, trauma, childhood issues, marital communication/conflict, and parenting complications.
I have been trained in play therapy and am currently working toward becoming a registered Play therapist. Play therapy provides a safe environment for children/adolescences/adults to feel free to work out their problems through play; such as art, games, sand tray, and puppets, etc. Filial Therapy is a program designed to improve the parent-child relationship, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), therapy that helps victims heal from traumatic experiences.
I have been married for 36 years, raised 5 daughters, and have seven precious grandchildren who I absolutely adore. Counseling is my passion. It has long been my dream to be a counselor to help couples, families, individuals, and especially children to learn better coping techniques in handling challenges that come their way. I now have the opportunity to work as a counselor and look forward to helping you navigate your way through the twists, turns and rocky paths of life.
