Hallie Allen, Intern
My name is Hallie Allen, I am a Counseling Intern completing my Master's Degree at Northwest Nazarene University in Clinical Counseling. I received my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2012 from Southern Utah University. I have spent the past 20 years raising my six children, helping my husband get through medical school and working in the fitness industry. Presently my focus is with children, adolescents, individuals, and families’ concerns with depression, anxiety, addiction, self- esteem issues, body dysmorphia, blended families, and couple’s issues.
My approach to counseling comes from a holistic, solution-focused philosophy. From a holistic view, I believe your health comes from a balance of your whole self, including mental, physical, and emotional well-being. Solution Focused Therapy is an approach to counseling which focuses on you setting goals, examining your strengths and working on solutions to your problems. What this means for you is I will listen carefully to your concerns and build a collaborative relationship with you. As we build this relationship, our discussions will focus on what you want to change or have different in your life. As a Solution Focused Counselor, I am your collaborator, and you are the expert in your life.
