Meghan Green, Intern
My name is Meghan Green, I am a Counseling Intern completing my Master's degree at Northwest Nazarene University in Marriage and Family Counseling. I received my Associates degree in Psychology in 2013 from College of Western Idaho and my Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2015 from Boise State University. I have spent the past six years studying psychology and counseling and have received honors from local and national organizations with a focus in psychology. I work in retail as a manager and am currently planning my wedding to my fiancé of seven years. Presently, my focus is with individuals, couples and families.
My approach to counseling comes from a holistic, gestalt-focused philosophy. Gestalt therapy is an approach to counseling that focuses on the influence one has from their environment and that all people strive towards growth and balance. This approach helps you to balance your mental, physical, and emotional well-being by increasing your awareness of the present. I also see counseling as a relationship where I help you to grow by listening carefully to your concerns and we work together to create and achieve goals. Just like with any relationship, communication and collaboration is important and as we build this relationship, our discussions will focus on helping you grow and guide you towards balance.
